New Chevrolet Warranty

dealership

When you invest in a new Chevrolet vehicle – and sometimes one that’s just new to you – you get comprehensive Chevrolet warranty protection that ensures peace of mind on every journey. At Gaye Chevrolet in Marshville, NC, our experience serving Charlotte area families shows that understanding warranty coverage helps you get the most from your car. Let’s take a closer look at the benefits, shall we?

New Vehicle Warranty Protection

Let’s say you just bought a new Chevy Traverse. It includes industry-leading coverage designed to protect your investment. The 3-year or 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty covers Chevrolet repairs for materials and workmanship defects across nearly every vehicle component. Chevrolet’s 5-year or 60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty does the same for your engine, transmission, and drivetrain components.

Standard coverage includes 5 years or 60,000 miles of 24/7 roadside assistance providing towing, battery jumps, flat tire changes, and emergency fuel delivery. Corrosion protection covers body and sheet metal components for 3 years or 36,000 miles, while rust-through protection extends to 6 years or 100,000 miles. Your first maintenance visit within 12 months comes at no charge.

Certified Pre-Owned Warranty Benefits

While older used Chevy models don’t have coverage, Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned vehicles receive exceptional warranty protection beyond typical used car coverage. After passing our 172-point inspection, CPO vehicles gain 12 months or 12,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper limited warranty coverage with no deductible. The powertrain limited warranty extends to 6 years or 100,000 miles from the original in-service date.

CPO benefits include two complimentary maintenance visits within 2 years or 24,000 miles, 24/7 roadside assistance concurrent with powertrain coverage, plus limited trials of OnStar® and SiriusXM® services. CPO vehicles also qualify for a 3-day exchange policy as long as you don’t drive more than 150 miles in that time.

What’s Not Covered?

Great question. Repairs stemming from neglect or abuse – skipped oil changes, racing, or exceeding your vehicle’s tow rating, for example – aren’t covered. Consumable parts, which are things like your tires and battery, aren’t covered either, because their wear and replacement are an expected part of ownership. But as we’re about to see, there’s some help for maintenance and some other circumstances.

Extended Protection Options

Beyond standard new Chevrolet warranty coverage, Chevrolet Protection Plans provide additional peace of mind for Marshville drivers. Extended warranty options cover Chevrolet repairs after the original warranty expires, while GAP coverage protects against total loss situations. While maintenance isn’t a warranty item, prepaid maintenance plans cover scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, making it easier to budget for routine service.
